In Daughter of the Empire when Mara is negotiating with the new hive queen about whether the hive will be on Acoma lands Keyoke gets nervous for a moment and puts his hand on his sword hilt.
Arakasi says "Pull steel this close to two queens and we all die instantly."
If the Tsurani use needra hide swords, wouldn't it make more sense for Arakasi to say something like "pull a blade" instead of "pull steel"?
