Remember, Pug sealed up a Dread Master with help from Tomas.  The golden dragon destroyed a Dreadlord one-on-one while Pug and Macros held the seal on the rift, Tomas battled Drakin-Korin, and Arutha fought Murmandamus. Ancient Golden Dragons are THE most powerful mortal creatures on Midkemia, and that should give you some idea how heavy duty ONE Dreadlord is, given the dragon also was toast after the fight.
