All the gods have two names, though he didn't list all the alternatives. I forgot how that came about, save we did occasionally get into the "we call her La-Timsa, but the locals call her Sung," sorts of things. Anyway, as for more on what they do and why, some of that will come out in the next book, and in the next game, and if we ever publish the rules, you'll get to read it all in one sitting!
