It's not a stupid question.

There's a long answer and a short one.  I don't have time for the long one, so I'll give you the short one.

Pug, Tomas, Miranda, and Nakor can only contrive to be in four places at one time.  That's one problem.

They also have to go to a "stop that or I'll squash you," level of threat at some point if all they have going for them is power, so that's another problem.  There will be situations when "don't do such-and-such or I'll destroy you" isn't the appropriate response.

Lastly, they're mortal and have limited apprehension, so they have to be aware of a problem before they can act, and that's the biggest problem of all.
