Several questions Pug's parents were commoners, of no importances, and people just don't seem to believe me. Of course, there are still people who want to believe Pug is Macros' son, or some other such nonsense. So, once more...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Pug's parents were nobody special. Assume it's a maid and a traveling salesman or a farmer's daughter and a lecherous nobleman.

Whatever.

One more time, for the record, Pug is not related to Macros. Pug's father was a wandering soldier and his mother was a maid who gave him to the monks of Dala, claiming she had found him on the road.

I've told people that they were a serving woman and a soldier, but I just said that to get across the fact they were ordinary. I never knew who Pug's parents were, never cared, and don't know. But they are ordinary.

It has been mentioned before that Pug's parents were a tavern wench and
a passing soldier. No more to be discovered.

I have said more than once on this list and it was mentioned in the series, the identity of his parents (specific to the reader) are unknown.  Obviously, Macros knew who they were as he was keeping an eye on Pug since he was born.  A kitchen girl and a soldier were his parents.

Admin Note: In Rage of a Demon King it states

Macros tells Pug that "You were the son of a maid in Crydee, and a wandering soldier"
