Raymond E. Feist's world of Midkemia originated as a paper based Role Playing Game (RPG) by a group of friends tired of Dungeons and Dragons(D&D). Deciding that they wanted something more, they developed their own system, world, and adventures. Later some of these gaming products were to be produced by Midkemia Press.
The world developed by Raymond E. Feist has since been used as the basis for the creation of two computer based RPG off shoots, Betrayal at Krondor, and Return to Krondor, which in turn spawned two further books, Krondor the Betrayal, and Krondor Tear of the Gods, respectively (there was also a linking book Krondor the Assassins).
