It has been talked about for years, there was even a RiftMUSH, which was given Rays blessings many years ago, but eventually, it came to an end. Then back in August 2003 it was announced that Iron Realms had acquired the rights to develop an MMORPG, based on the Riftwar series of books, though for almost a year nothing major had been heard, until it was announced in September 2004 that the graphic game was cancelled in favour of a text based game, the developement of which had progressed slowly until recently.
