Was Miranda in the sequel to King's Buccaneer that never got written

Nope. Miranda shows up first in Shadow. _Return of the Buccaneer_ would have introduced Charlie Foster and Bobby de Longville and given a bit more insight into who Calis is. As it stands, I'm revealing Calis in the next book, and as a dramatic issue, that might prove best all the way around when the dust settles.

OK, here's the story:

The book that was never written was called "Return of the Buccaneer." It would have been a one-on, direct sequel, in which 1) we would have seen the messy end to Nicholas's love affair with his Sweety, 2) would have set up some of the angst you see in Calis 3) introduced Bobby 4) had a bit of action with William 5) seen the 2nd (disastrous) trip to Novindus for Nicholas and Calis.

Needless to say, had I written that book, SOADQ would have been different.

But, Miranda would not have been in that book.
