Stéphane Collignon was born on June 8, 1973, in Drancy. He studied graphic arts for 4 years at EMSAT and later at the University of Saint-Denis He started the series 'Lex' with writer Froideval at Glénat. He also teamed up with his university friends to start 'Requiem Tenebrae', a collective project initiated by Nicolas Bournay. With Christian Villa, he began 'Neurotrans' at Albin Michel in 2004.
