What are the origins of the ocedhel?

From: Raymond E. Feist

The origins of the ocedhel were lost in time. . . .

OK, they were workers, left to their own devices in Novindus and had no "leadership" as opposed to the other groups, no royalty or clan leaders. They probably went through a neo-barbaric stage akin to the glamredhel, but without the benefit of constant conflict with a neighbor related culture (moredhel).

When the humans fleeing the Heresy of Amaral landed DownUnder, they brought their faith and culture with them and the considerably less technological than the humans adapted the human culture.
