In Mistress, Mara doesn't obliterate the Minwanabi, but grants those who survived the conflict a place within her own retainers. There's a scene where the old Minwanabit Force Commander and First Advisors are watching the sunrise and reflecting on how every day is a gift from Lady Mara.
I did not detail how the Minwanabi gained back their estates under the Acoma generosity (nor the end of House Lujan) as that was too much backstory for what I was writing about and would only confuse those who hadn't read the Empire Trilogy.
