Science fiction and fantasy deal with more than the conflict between two opposing forces. Raymond E Feist (Magician) and Paolo Bacigalupi (The Windup Girl) face off in this panel, as they shed light on sharpening the craft of storytelling in these speculative genres.

You have an idea for a story, but where do you place this story to let it flourish? What impact does the world created by the writer have on the story, and the story on the world? Participants will learn the basics of world building and come to understand the fundamentals of geography as it relates to telling a story in an engaging manner.
