How did you design Midkemia's weather?

Depends on what you mean by 'designing' the weather. We didn't get an 'expert' to do it (not knowing of one 20+ years ago), but did a fair amount of research in climate and weather. But like most things the 'game' was more important than the 'realism'. Years ago I wrote a program (Apple II, then Mac) for generating weather.
It takes into account stuff like the location of deserts, oceans, time of year, altitude, etc. and gives a 'realistic feel'. I'm sure an 'expert' would find something that he/she didn't like, but so what....
