I find the 'hardcore' label used by Sierra to describe the game to be odd. In the press release, Sinjin says 'Our goal is to give gamers an RPG full of adventure.' RtK is definitely NOT a hardcore RPG (ala the Realms of Arkania series). I think this marketing strategy is being used to counter Baldur's Gate, which is much more of a 'hardcore RPG' than RtK and is also scheduled to be released in the next week or so.
