Why do elven names like Moredhel sound like Tolkein

From: Raymond E. Feist

It's what is know in the writing biz as a "tip of the hat," to Tolkein. I took the root "edhel" meaing elf and created the eledhel and moredhel and glamredhel, the light, dark, and mad elves. I used the term Eldar for those who are seen as "wise masters of knowledge" because that was the term Steve, Jon and the others used in our game. Oceaedhel I kludged together because I couldn't find anything that was "across the ocean" in Tolkien's work.
