Do you do much editing of your own work or do you create the magic in one go?

I rewrite, but I have a binocular dysfunction (sort of like dyslexia) so there are typos I can't see.  Additionally, sometimes when you rewrite scenes you lose continuity, and the copy editor is supposed to catch that and call your attention to it.  It's not as good a process as it used to be, due to cost cutting by publishers.
